Attending the High Commission for notarials

Legalisation services are performed between: -

1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays (excluding UK and some Australian public holidays)

Notarial clients are admitted through security at the Consular & Passport Office entrance located on the Aldwych side of Australia House.  Whilst we will do everything possible to remain on time, some services may require a longer wait as specific staff are required to perform these. 

Part of our return to work measures, the legalisation counter is temporarily an appointment only system. Appointments can be made online by clicking here.

Please bring original documents only. There is no need to make copies.

The documents presented do not have to belong to the person submitting the documents at the Australian High Commission.

It is the responsibility of the client to present the document to be serviced in the correct form and to provide the correct instructions for servicing. Consular staff DO NOT provide legal, or other advice on individual requirements and refunds are NOT provided. Obtain the correct advice from the individual, organisation or authority you are dealing with, before attending the Consular Section.
