Welcome to the Passport Office.

Please use the menu below to find all the information you need to apply for a passport in the United Kingdom. 

If you are eligible for an adult renewal or child (under 16 years) renewal, you can lodge your application by mail. 

All other applications must be submitted in person and by appointment only.

Passports are currently subject to a processing time of approximately 6 weeks from date of payment, so planning well ahead is important.  

These instructions guide you through the process and help ensure your application is complete.  We also answer a lot of frequently asked questions in our FAQ page.
